Gravit 1.5 makes your Finder's icons react to earth gravity. When you drag an icon, it will swing under the cursor. Gravity, mouse friction and air friction are adjustable in the Control Panel. To throw the icon, keep the ctrl key pressed and release the mouse button. Your icon will crash if it reaches the screen border.

･ How to start gravit?
Gravit 1.5 is compatible with Systems 6.0.3 to 7.5, but unfortunately wonﾕt work on powermacs (sorry). All you have to do is put Gravit's icon in the Control Panel Folder (or in the System Folder for system 6), and restart your Macintosh. Press ctrl-command-ﾒ<ﾓ the first time you move an icon; this will get Gravit tuned with your finder.
Gravit 1.5 may be temporarily disabled by pressing the option key at startup. If you have checked the box in the control panel, you can also turn Gravit off and on with the caps-lock key.

･ Using the sliders
･ Gravity: if you set it high (to the right), your icon will seem to be attracted by a strong magnet. If you set it low (to the left), your icon will float as in ﾒ2001: a Space Odysseyﾓ.
･ Mouse friction: if you set it high, it will be difficult to make your icon spin, as your mouse will put a brake on it. Setting mouse friction low will let your icon spin loose.
･ Air friction: if you set it high, your icon will quickly lose speed when you throw it. Icons with a longer dimension (like that of the hard drive) will loop like a leave. If you set air friction low, your icon will fall without constraint.
･ Tip
Press <T> <G> while clicking on the icon to trace Gravit遮s animation on the screen (this helped me to make the illustration at the top of this document). The print will remain until it is drawn over.
